kinsk
Once the new hen house and run are completed we are also thinking of rearing some guinea fowl. Does anyone keep guinea fowl or have any experience of them. I know they prefer to roost, or I have been told that they do! How do they differ from hens? And really daft question of the day will they be okay on the same food as the hens A lot of reading up is to be done!
The Raven
I don't keep them, saw some the other day - apparantly the eggs are delicious and they are VERY LOUD.
Gertie
I knew someone posted before about theirs. They look gorgeous. http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=75038&p=1059476&hilit=Guinea+fowl+ouch#p1059476 This was one thread
kinsk
they are VERY LOUD. Just aswell we don't have many neighbours and the ones we do have we want to leave so we can buy their place (which is never going to happen as we can't afford it but one can dream!) Thanks for the link to the other post Gertie
craftyhunnypie
Let's just say they are a good burglar alarm - loud. But I'd love some. My sister's lot chased off a fox cub a few weeks ago. Emma.x
