broody hen - too late??

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't - especially looking outside today

I expect the broody will be wanting to go into moult soonish and really the winter time is to let everybody have a break. The chicks will have to use up more energy keeping warm and dry as will Mum. It will be a lot more fun watching the chicks when the weather is better as well :D
