Jofitch31
Hi everyone. Any ideas on why one of my three 7 week old chicks would keep getting diarrhoea? I think it's only one of them - it seems to appear one day then go the next, but then has been repeating the cycle. I've just moved them from indoors into their Eglu Go on Friday - could it be related? They've also just started to have growers pellet mixed with their chick crumbs for the last week or so. Griffin
Have you wormed them yet? I'd be inclined to give them a course of Flubenvet.
lillybettybabs
Can you worm them at that age? I thought you had to wait until the where at least 10 wks.
Griffin
I've wormed at six weeks before after being advised to by an avian vet. If they were raised outside with a broody they can have worms from a very young age.
lillybettybabs
ahh ok... mine are pampered indoor chicks, But good to know it is ok for when they go outside.
Lewis
It may also be part the stress of moving outside combined with going onto Growers. Are you sure its just 1 of them... could also be a caecal poo? Think I did my CLB boys with Flubenvet at 8 weeks a couple years ago and they were fine
