cavysqueak
We now have three lovely ex-battery hens in our back garden. So does anyone know where I could get a crochet pattern for the chicken jumper I've seen before? So I have time to try them out before the cold weather hits! I can't knit, but if you know where the knitting pattern is I can probably try to make the same shape with crochet stitches (hopefully!). I'm hoping they manage to get some more feathers before the worst of the weather hits, but I like to be prepared! Thanks.
craftyhunnypie
Please don't put them in knitted jumpers. They can catch their claws in the mesh fabric you've made. Much better design is like a chicken saddle with a strap on velcro. Emma.x
Christian
I agree with Emma. They don't feel the cold the way we do. Feeding them a good diet and some mixed corn will keep them warm. Make sure their coop is out of direct wind and provide them with shelter and they should be fine. Congratulations by the way
