Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Has anyone tried this and how does it fare compared with Aubiose?

Cardboard beddings come in different formats (some are just chopped up cardboard and some are a bit like flocking, I'm not sure which that one is

 

I've tried a few different ones and they have all been rubbish either being too rigid and the chooks wouldnt go near the sharp bits or getting so damp and smelly that I had to scoop it all out again

Thanks for that, this is what I thought might be the problem. It is the one that Omlet sell in their shop. I think I will be taking a drive up the road for my usual Aubiose.

I've used a chopped up cardboard one and it wasn't very absorbent. A shame really.

I don't like it is gets damp and wet very quickly and makes an awful mess, not even in the nest box the girls won't sit on it.

everywhere i look at home there are chicks or chickens, I'm even cleaning out coops at 10pm with one of those head torches on Beats work though
