I've placed an order for 2 Buff Sussexs at POL for next June I said to OH if I could find some Buffs I would like them....I found someone who breeds them and she's booked me 2 for next year. I am also hoping he'll allow me my 3 ex-batts as well, then we'd have 10, which is a good number I think! Just got to tell him now......... mind you with the money he's spent on his car recently, I will convince him we need more chickens, to give us more eggs, so we can sell them and recoup the money for the car! However, it will be nice knowing when they've hatched and knowing they are mine!! OH was fine about it, he said 'oh that's nice' and said about getting another house and run if we see one cheap after Xmas. Still trying (and failing) to convince him about a couple of ex-batts from BHWT when they do the Lancs or Shropshire re-home later this month but he's so unkeen it'll be an uphill struggle that I doubt I will win won't stop me dropping hints though! When I finally persuaded the dh that we should have a few hens he wanted to know why we hadn't done it before, it had taken me 18 months to persuade him!
