loumabel Posted October 21, 2011 Share Posted October 21, 2011 I have just caught Lupin one of my ex batts eating a mushroom or toadstool in the garden while she was free ranging!! I am so worried. I tried to get it off her but she ran and gobbled the lot down. Tweety Posted October 21, 2011 Share Posted October 21, 2011 I don't think there's very much you can do tbh. Chickens can't vomit, as I understand it. However, my experience is that chickens instinctively avoid eating things that will harm them- certainly mine have never eaten any of the many potentially lethal things in my garden and they have had plenty of opportunity to do so in the 4 years I have had them.
