Am not sure if this is the right place to put this topic......perhaps we need a general gardening section!

 

Has anyone got any advice about how to get rid of enormous amounts of moss from a path at the back of the house which is in a north facing area and in shadow most of the day.

 

I have s"Ooops, word censored!"ed loads off but it always comes back.

 

I don't want to use chemicals though.

 

Any tips?

In days gone by didn't they throw the discarded boiling water from cooking the veggies onto all the paths to keep the algae and moss down?

 

You could always fill in the cracks with cement

Vinegar will see off most plants. For that matter, so will salt, and if it is paving you won't have to worry about making the soil too salty for plants.
