ladybird20 Posted November 7, 2011 Share Posted November 7, 2011 hi all i wonder if anyone can tell me if dog urine is a problen for my chickens? i have a syberian husky who will go up and pee over the chicken run. my girls do run over to it like it some treat!and i worry thay thay peck at the grass inside the run where he goes i do try to stop him but when im not looking he does it again. i undersatnd dominence and terrytory marking but he only does it when my girls are out at nite he pees up my washing line.i hope someone has this experiance or can offer advice. thanks in advance Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'd deter the dog though - if he can't be tempted to pee elsewhere then a water pistol ought to do the trick, and rewards when he does what he's told. Angie Posted November 8, 2011 Share Posted November 8, 2011 The pee post didn't work for my yorkies it is still down the garden and Bill still pees where the heck he likes despite training and water pistols etc , loopi lou tends to go where ever is the driest bit of grass.
