hilda-and-evadne Posted November 19, 2011 Share Posted November 19, 2011 I think my three-year-old French maran is succumbing to heart disease so I thought I'd comfort myself by ordering some maran hatching eggs from Wernlas for delivery whenever they became available again. No more Wernlas. Is there a list of recommended breeders for French maran hatching eggs that will be fertile and healthy? Don't want to buy off eBay? Thanks. They have a year book which includes the contact details for the members so you might find someone near to you that way, its only £6 and they have a couple of newsletters a year also, plus if you show and win a prize you can apply for a Marans Club rosette . I got a mix of Maran eggs ie Splash, Copper Blue, Black from http://cheshirepoultry.co.uk/french_copper_blue_marans.html who are members of the Maran Club. Have a look at their site to see the different types available. You can have a mix of the colours you want if you speak to Steve there, rather than ordering on-line.
