I have wished for an Ipad for a couple of years now but always thought that it was a bit frivolous. But hubby has taken voluntary redundancy and has a 99% new job offer to start when he leaves Anyway he said he would get me one for christmas, then said today i could get it at the weekend (he did get himself another motorbike last week ) Now I'm wondering which cover to get. I had picked one up in Currys but looking tonight it doesn't have anything to hold the sides together when closed. The ones advertised in John Lewis are £50+ and i wondered if they are worth it?

Ooh exciting! I'm not sure how I survived before my iPad! I've got the floppy cover that holds closed with the magnets and folds up to make a clever stand. Mine is the polyurethane version rather than the leather. I've also got a rubber back cover that matches that I got from ebay. Because I cart mine about in my bag (full of all my other junk! I also have a Crumpler Gimp Sleeve that zips up.

I have a leather one that also acts as a stand for mine. I like the fact that it offers really good protection for when you carry it around in your bag etc as it is really thick. It looks very smart in it too!! I also have a stick- on cover that protects the face - same sort as on my iphone.

I got a floppy cover from Amazon for 19.99 down from 50 that looks the same as the one in John Lewis. I also bought some screen protectors.Just need the Ipad now

Exciting You shouldn't need screen protectors though...when I bought my iPad last year, I gasped when the young salesman in the apple store got his keys out of his pocket and proceeded to 'scratch' the surface of the iPad with them like a madman! They didn't make a mark!
