Sooo much pooping

Hello!

 

Seem like a long time has gone since I last asked for help, but I’m at it again!!

 

I bought my girls a nice red eglu go for their birthday (pathetic, I know!) but at the time I had a walk in Avery, so didn’t buy the run.

The Avery has seen better days and so I am dismantling it over the Christmas period. I have already bought and had delivered the Eglu go run so I’m all set to put it together and give the girls a fab new home for Christmas...

 

 

Except....

 

I cant get hold of ANY truf. Anywhere. At all.

 

There is another side to this, in that we are trying to move and have a POTENTIAL buyer coming the first week in January for a second viewing. So I thought it would be a good idea to get rid of the dilapidate Avery a) for the girls but also b) to make the garden look a little better for this buyer.

 

So my question is

 

Other than turf, what else can I put my girls on, as a temporary measure until I can get hold of some (ironically I cant get any until the day of the viewing...typical!!) that is also and neat to put down, but that can be removed just as easily ready for the turf.

 

Talk about making more work for myself!!

 

(But seriously, you should see this Avery...it really does need pulling down!)

Perhaps some woodchip, but on top of some sort of sheeting so you can easily lift it up to clear it? Or gravel?

I'd pop down a layer of Aubiose or similar hemp horse bedding - would look nice, easy to sweep up after and sure you could lay turf on top of any left down 'cos it composts well!

I too would go with a wood chip base in the run as a quick and tidy temporary measure. Looks great when first laid, before the girls manage to trash it all
