Alis girls
ES is starting his mock GSCE's from today - so what does their PE teacher decide to do - only run them on cross country in the worst wind and rain we have seen in months (well in NW London anyway) Yes before anyone points out we are a fat nation - i cannot see what this will achieve. He sat thro French mock shivering in wet underpants and was a ghastly colour OH said when he came home. He cant be the only one I am sure - he had a hot shower, hot drink and a nap. He often plays footie in the rain but has a warm coat standing by and a flask of tea. And hes a fit muscular lad, he does have asthma though. Also I know they do this in the army and the police - but you get paid for catching a ruddy stinking cold. I was on the point of sending a huge ranty email to school but hes persuaded me not too. And breathe ..............
Couperwife
thats a bit daft its probably on their plan for this half term, but really common sense should prevail . maybe son could take spare undies to school, just in case they plan this again? at least he would be dry next time. Alis girls
Thought of that not sure as he would worry his spare drawers might get found - you know what teenage boys are like also not sure where the wet ones might end up - stuck to his French textbook
The Dogmother
That happened to Rosie once; they were due to do a charity run...the heavens opened and they still made them do it she (and the rest of them) was soaking wet, covered in mud, and they couldn't even have a hot shower to get warm. She arrived back home with wet PE kit in a wet bag and she was the colour of grey putty. I wasn't too amused.
