Ain't Nobody Here
I've used Yahoo as my home page for years but it's suddenly started showing the news from a week or so ago . Today's is 5th January - not much use for keeping abreast of the news . It's also suddenly showing a tab for Yahoo Poland - as far as I know I still live in the UK . Has this happened to anyone else? (I've switched my homepage for the time being but quite like the Yahoo one so would like to use it again.)
Cinnamon
I don't - I used to,but then I discovered i Google (I THINK that is what it is called), which is so much more flexible & user friendly than Yahoo.
Mum
I don't, but I would recommend you give your PC a thorough scan and clean your internet cache. Is your anti-virus programme up to date?
Ain't Nobody Here
Thanks, Mum (sounds funny saying that ) - I do keep up to date with all that kind of thing and regularly clear things out but no harm doing it again to see if it helps! I'll check out iGoogle too .
Mum
Thanks, Mum (sounds funny saying that ). What's even funnier is, there have been times in the supermarket when I *know* my children are at school/home/clubs and I hear a child call, "MUM!" ... and I look around to see who's calling me Let us know how it is after you have scanned, defragmented your drive and cleaned your cache
Ain't Nobody Here
Defrag wasn't required and I often scan and clean up in any case but I've actually decided to ditch Yahoo altogether after having a look at iGoogle (thanks, Cinnamon ). I then discovered it won't work with Opera so I've moved back to Firefox (can't remember why I changed now, I'm sure there was a reason but hopefully it won't matter now). I really like that you can choose what you have on your iGoogle page .
Cinnamon
Do yourself a favour & change to Google Chrome - it is by far the best one I have tried & works well with iGoogle too It is even better than Firefox,& I NEVER thought I would say that! Plus you can use Google calendars too,& if you have a Google phone you can access your calendar on that too, which is really useful. I like changing iGoogles theme to go with the seasons or the weather. I simply must get rid of the Christmassy fairy lights one I have at the moment!!! Ain't Nobody Here
I did use Chrome (between Firefox and Opera ) but I stopped as it was forever crashing and hanging and drove me crazy .
WarrensWorld
I really like google chrome i've never had a problem with it. However google was a complete mess far too many pop-ups. Have you tried safari per chance?
Cinnamon
I would give Google Chrome another go...you might have had a bad install or something. Plus a lot of kinks will have been ironed out by now.
Ain't Nobody Here
I'll stick with Firefox for a bit but will certainly give Chrome another go if it doesn't suit. Just had a look at Yahoo's home page and it's now got a radically different layout - I wonder if that's what caused the glitch.
