Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

...they pop out late in the evenings, still dark, when I collect eggs and add water etc They all pile out. About 4/5 of them out of eight will come and have a feed while I sort everything out. My previous lot would never have done that - too dark. It's cold as well too, I don't know why they bother.

Most of mine have always automatically put themselves to bed when it gets dark. One of my new girls, Esmerelda, would stuff her little face all night if we let her. We have a PIR light down there and the girls set it off so she keeps moving about and giving herself light so she can carry on eating!!

some of my girls will eat in the middle of the night in pitch dark...

The first one I caught as she was in the bathroom, pitch dark blinds the lot and I heard the tap tap tapping,

opened the door to find her happily eating. and stopped to look at me with a "what" expession.

others when they have been indoors for various reasons have eaten after bedtime though very minimal light and none at all in some instances.
