OllieNLucys Mum
Sometime ago in anticipation of moving the chickens inside the barn when the paddocks got too muddy I bought a dust bath from Omlet. To be honest I'd not even unpacked it from the delivery box. When I did today it just looks way too small I can't imagine the dust would stay in it for 5 minutes. Has anyone got one of these and find it ok? Shall I just cut my loses and buy something of a more suitable size if so what?
chestnutmare
Are those the cat litter trays? That's what they look like to me when I've looked in the Omlet shop. I've used a cat litter tray, which is fine, but my shallow tubtrug bucket is much better as it's slightly larger and higher. Most of the contents from the litter tray would be thrown out by my dustbathing girls.
Duncan08
I bought one for the new WIR, filled it with soil and playsand. They had a scratch about then dustbathed in the easibed It does however, now make a very useful tray for my chicken potions, poultry spice, cider vinegar, citridal etc to keep them all together in the kitchen and separate from my stuff
