TAJ
Dear Omletteers that know everything can you help. Our DD and 7 friends are planning to walking Penzance to Falmouth along the coastal path this summer backpacking - all booked up except one night. In terms of distances it needs to be around Helford/Helford Passage as they will need to cross at that ferry. There is a Helford River campsite, but it is a further 2.5 miles up the river, so adds this extra distance to both days walking, which when walking with full packs for a week is not ideal. Anyone know of any other camping options close by - or a nice farmer or large back garden that would accept 3 small tents for the night of 18th August. All suggestions gratefully recieved! chelsea
Check out UKcampsite. They have a search facility. Nearest we've camped to the Helford River is near Porthscatho. Campsite called Trethem Mill (St Mawes area).
TheGirlsMum
There is a place at the top of the road that drops down to the Ferry Boat but can't think what it's called atm. They should be able to find some where. Hubby works on the Helford during the season teaching children to sail so is known as his "office".
