SeramaSilly Posted February 6, 2012 Share Posted February 6, 2012 I noticed last week that Reenie my 5 year old barnebar had a solid (like concrete) poo totally obstructing her vent. I soaked her in warm water and pet shampoo for ages and finally managed to carefully pick away the poo and then blow-dryed her dry. Today she has the same - I have got off as much as I can but seems to be a build up actually inside her and the vent is red looking. Should I take her to the vet's tonight or keep her inside and keep bathing her? I've never had this before in 6 years of chicken keeping - she looks fine apart from that but a bit thin.
