Tavuk
Hi, I have two chickens in my back garden. One of them had a diarria-yellowish dropping with mucus like red blood. It has been like that 3-4 days. Also her back side looks open and feather more fluffy than normal. I don't know what to do or what could be the problem. I clean the coop every morning only one or two dropping like that. Please help.
Plum
Blood in droppings is sign of coccidia. You can buy coxoid from poultry shops but I believe it's important to start the treatment early. Alternatively your vet will be able to supply an appropriate drug. First I would have a look at her vent and just check the blood isn't coming from a prolapse or pecked vent They can get dehydrated fairly quickly and go off food. Is she eating and drinking ok? Tavuk
Hi Plum, Thank you for your message. I looked at "add dropping" section in this forum and her droping it is maching with "shed intestinal lining in the dropping"picture. She seemed fine today. B efore I left to work I was cleaning the coop she jumped into lay an egg. She is fine with eating and drinking. There is no blood anywhere else. It is worrying , I will still keep an eye on her. Thanks again.
