She's never got on that well with the latest additions and they are both very docile. She has pulled feathers out of the back of Kota and from round Spiti's vent. We've tried separating her for periods, anti-peck,they've plenty of room and they have pecka reckers. It's just her plain bad behaviour.....so we have done what we said we'd avoid to the last....fitted a bumper bit....and it seems like it might work. It's calmed her down a little. She doesn't seem to be so interested in chasing the youngsters or bullying Spiti. She's not aggressively attacking Spiti when we throw in some treats. Only time will tell, but we think we've made the right decision as the whole flock seems a little more settled as a result. All we can say is thanks to everyone who has posted on bumper bits over the last couple of years. We had a good look before making the decision and didn't feel so guilty about ordering them when we'd tried everything else. Thanks Omleteers!!! Fur 'n' Feathers Posted February 8, 2012 Author Share Posted February 8, 2012 Several days in and she's calm. Fed from my hand this pm and allowed Spiti to come up beside her for a little while. Seems to be working & she doesn't seem bothered. (Although she chased her off this am when dried peas were about!
