Egluntyne
First of all, are you certain that the thermometer is accurate? If so, I'd tweak the thermostat of the incbator accordingly. The link that you have posted indicates that this model has an adjustable thermostat so you are able to adjust the temperature inside. Redwing
It looks like a still air incubator (one with no fan) If it is a still air one then the temperature on top of the egg needs to be correct so the actual incubator setting is normally higher, this is because there is no fan to distribute the heat I'm not sure that thermometer would be a good one to use, I've never seen one of those being used with an incubator before... A search on eBay of incubator thermometers will bring up some options, digital ones or strip ones are the thermometers most commonly used with this sort of incubator To set your inccy put some normal eggs in and lay the thermometer on top of them then fiddle with the thermostat till the thermometer reads correctly then it's a good idea to make sure this stays steady for a day or so before setting any hatching eggs Hatching eggs will keep some time before they are useless - at least a week so itsbest to get the settings right before putting eggs in as too high a temperature is fatal to hatching eggs If you bought the incubator from P&T give them a call for advice they are very helpful
