Look i got this incubator and it says to fill the water tank no more than 7-8mm 70% ,Do i need a hydrometer ? please tell me all i need to know! Redwing Posted February 14, 2012 Share Posted February 14, 2012 Incubators vary enormously so its always best to check out what the maker of the machine recommends I dont use any water in my incubators til day 18 and find this works best for me I recommended a digital thermometer on your other thread, you can get them that also measure and display the humidity too With a cheap incubator its worth investing in a proper digital thermometer/hydrometer Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I found this really helpful. hygrometer and digital thermometer is a good idea. Many people incubate first 18/19 days with no water as the ambient humidity in this country is high enough anyway.
