Wanted: omlet eglu classic + run 🙏

I have a 3m x 2 1/2m WIR with a roof and clear tarps on two of the sides. I usually use Hemcore for the base but recently acquired some Aubiose locally at a good price.

 

I gave the run the big clean out today and after putting Stalosan down proceeded to lay down the Aubiose.

 

With the Hemcore I used to use two bales which made quite a thick base which would last for about 4 months (4 chooks ) Today I have used only one of Aubiose because it seemed to fill the run better. Will it last the same amount of time or will I have to top it up with another bale?

 

What do other users of Aubiose /Hemcore do ?

I don't put loads in, but every week, I sprinkle it with Ground Sanitising Powder and add a bit more, then when it's grubby looking, I rake it all out and start again. Generally speaking, it starts at the front of the run then the girls kick it all towards the back, so I rake it forwards every week.

I use the Nettex one.
