Does anyone know how high is the Eglu Cube from the ground to the start of the ladder?

On my cube that is on its original wheels it's about 8 inches and have then put a couple of blocks of wood in front to act as a step - which helps

 

On my other cube which is off its wheels and on a table the ladder there is no gap the ladder touches the floor

I have had my cube for a week now and it is on wheels within my run. For two nights I had to put my chickens in but my Orpington took longer. I realised that her little legs and short wings stopped her from jumping onto the first rung of the ladder. I put a block at the foot of ladder and now she goes in with no problems. I leave the door open which she sits half in and half out, on guard. No foxes can get into my run which is 2 metres high, 5 metres long and 2.5 metres width.

 

I love the cube and would certainly recommend it to anyone who has chickens. It is so easy to clean and the girls are much fresher when they come out. I use the cardboard bedding which again, I would recommend.
