lindafw Posted March 2, 2012 Share Posted March 2, 2012 One of my chickens is being shunned! He or she...is a 9 months aracana and we are still undecided as to sex...no crowing..no laying. Anyway s/he is being denied entrance into the coop. S/he fusses around trying to get in but baggins the big buff orp cockeral is having non of it...but he is happy for Rincewind the polish 2 year old boy to sleep in with him and the others. If I am home in time to open the eggport (nesting box hatch) s/he will climb in and settle...I have checked later at night and there is often another hen who has joined him....otherwise he takes himself off to the and sulks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Monty14 Posted March 18, 2012 Share Posted March 18, 2012 My 12 month old Araucana has yet to lay, but she is defo a girl as the vet has checked she is physically 'intact' as it were.
