Sarah 2
Decided that I would try and do a good 1st clean of the eglu. Not a great day to choose though. Because there was no way the roosting bars would dry in time. Looked at getting another set of roosting bars from Omelet but the postage is really expensive. Has anyone made there own roosting bars? If so how? How come they're not made of plastic too?
Jules.
James posted that the bars are not made of plastic as they thought wood might be a preference for the chooks over plastic, something like laminate being a preference for some people over carpet. I am sure some Omleteer will have the link, & the correct quote! I saved the following link to my favourites, it shows some home-made roosting bars & instructions how to make them http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7877

Sarah 2
Thank you. I'm going to get the wood tomorrow and test my wood work skills this weekend. Fingers crossed it goes ok. Maybe the first one will be a practice.
