Eggs in incubator excited and nervous!

Recommended Posts

28 little bantam eggs went into our new incubator yesterday.

On Friday evening we visited a lovely omleteer and left with a lovely selection of tiny bantam eggs and lots of brilliant advice.

They are in an Octagon 20 Eco, I have not put any water in, have read to put the water in when you stop turning the eggs, is that right.

Fingers crossed that we get some chicks.

Any advice.

Thanks.

Chrissie

Yes, run it dry until you stop turning the eggs. I used an Octagon 20 too, and successfully hatched 7 chicks last year by running it dry until Day 19, then adding water to the reservoirs.

Good luck with the hatching - it's a wonderful experience! :D
