beccauk
Hi Does anyone know where you can get pol old cotswold legbar hens from in the lincolnshire area please?
Redwing
Old Cotswold hens are a name particular to one egg supplier for 'their' hybrid that lays pastel eggs (blue/green/cream) The same sort of bird is also sold as a Cotswold Legbar, Skyline or Columbine so searching under those names should bring up some local suppliers If you want a pure breed then the Cream Legbar is the nearest pure breed - these always lay blue or green eggs
Purplemaniacs
Not sure where abouts you are in Lincolnshire but if you are Stamford way, Merrydale Poultry in Leicester may not be too far for you. http://www.merrydalepoultry.co.uk/hybrids.htm They sell Hybrids. They sell Merrydale Crested who have an 80% chance of blue green eggs, I have two and one lays dark greeen eggs and the other blue/green. They don't have any at the moment as I had a look on Saturday when I bought an incubator from them but they are due some in in April.
