Is your dog's unusual barking a secret code for something mysterious?

We currently have a Gingernut Ranger and Miss Pepperpot (also known as Nugget and Dave), my husband has enjoyed having them far more than he thought and is interested in getting one or two more. How do we go about doing this? We have an Eglu Classic with just the 2m run, though would be looking to extend this as with us working and a large fox population they can't free range unless we're around.

 

Would we need another house and introduce them slowly or can they go in together?

You could have another two in an Eglu Classic, but you'll need to extend the run by 1m each time - so you'd end up with a 4m run. Could you stretch to a walk-in run? It makes the whole experience much easier, and offers you the opportunity to add more in future.

 

There's a sticky about introductions here - you'll probably need some sort of temporary housing while you introduce them, although a cat-basket and a modified bit of Omlet run can do the job as long as it's fox-proof. Puppy cages are good as well for temporary housing. Take it slowly, and it should be successful.

Thank you. Not sure we could stretch to a walk in run, but we already plan to get the extension (will look at the walk in though)

 

We do have a cat basket but I don't think it would be suitable really, does anyone hire Eglus for things like this?

I think several of us would speak from experience if we said go for the WIR if you possibly can as it will save you money in the long run
