Miss Millies Chicken
After reading previous posts regarding the implant on the forum I decided to have Millie and Brunhilda implanted. The vet implanted them both on 22nd March. Brunhilda started moulting 8 days after the implant but Millie has not lost a feather. Does anyone know if they always moult after having it done. Both chooks have stopped trying to lay eggs so I assume that the implants are working.

Miss Millies Chicken
Thanks for your prompt reply and putting my mind at rest. Both my hens are reacting completely different to the implant. Brunhilda (head chook) is moulting madly, comb is paler but is eating ok and just a fraction quieter than normal. Millie (third in command) the other implantee is not moulting, a lovely red comb and this may seem sound a little strange her leg colour is more yellower. She is quieter and spending more time by herself plus she is being aggresive to Queenie (4th in the pecking order). Shes not bothered by the others. What surprises me most of all is that they are turning their beaks up at meal worms.
