Plum Posted April 11, 2012 Share Posted April 11, 2012 Start making the lovely stuff. Any veg waste from the kitchen, droppings from the run, torn up newspaper. Its supposed to be a mix of green and brown but not sure of the quantities. I dig mine a bit each week to let the air in and make sure it is moist right through and to make sure leaves and grass clippings are mixed in well. Some of the run stuff can be a bit dry. Ain't Nobody Here Posted April 11, 2012 Share Posted April 11, 2012 Yup, what Plum says . I put all fruit/veg peelings etc, teabags, chicken poop plus some soiled bedding in mine (I have 3 now ). Coffee grounds and contents of your hoover bag can go in too! Some grass when you cut the lawn is good too but don't overload your bin with it.
