Chicken boarders

I noticed the date announcement whilst trawling the net and I've put my name down for a few to fill my spare . Ummmmm 6 actually, maybe my finger slipped on the number keypad.

 

Is anyone else getting any? My 3 Bisley birds (also ex-batts) have moved onto the allotment and are doing really well. It needs a lot of clearing and they are scratching away. The other allotmenteers love them and they all chat away every day. We are all mindful of security (I've seen the posts) and are taking it a day at a time.

We had some girls from fresh start last month, who were ex barn. They are in pretty good nick, but were pale. Nice pink faces now though! They are doing really well and laying lots of eggs

I don't have any room at the moment but would urge anyone thinking about it to go for it. My ex-bats are delightful rogues- into everything, fearless and cheeky. I still get four eggs a day from my remaining 6. I've had the oldest for over 2 years now and the others are between 18 months and 9 months. Well worth it.
