craftyhunnypie
I'm counting on you to help me find what it's called. I saw a square plastic loom type thing a bit ago. you sort of wind wool round it & then tie off each intersection. You then snip the wool & it makes pom pom blankets. Or if don't snip the wool it makes sort of stars at the intersections. It's a bit like a square flower loom type thing, but it's not. The one I saw was about 8 inches square & just has sort of plastic pegs round the edges, moulded into it. What the heck is this gadget? Is it American? Help! I'm almost certain some Omleteer will know - you lot are clever clogs! Emma.x

craftyhunnypie
A similar thing is called a butterfly loom, same principles, but not quite ' it'. Want it to make a blanket for my little sweet niece. Emma.x

craftyhunnypie
Hubby has made me a loom thingymabob. It's quite big & I'm hoping it will work when I tie off the inter sections ' crosses' of wool & then cut bits to make the pom poms. I've half wound it full of wool. Will carry on tomorrow now. Fingers crossed it works. Emma.x
scubababe
oooo you've got to post some pictures. Is it based on the butterfly loom?

craftyhunnypie
The loom is harder to weave than you'd think. I keep forgetting the direction. I'm sure it will work though once I've knotted the intersections & cut the ' poms'. It doesn't half take a lot of wool. Emma.x
