How do foxes sense chickens?

Recommended Posts

I would think sound and smell first - it wouldn't need to see them, to know that there was some sort of livestock gathered together in one place. Their sense of hearing and smell is much more sensitive than ours, and they probably pick up on the scent of droppings and the hens themselves - smells that we wouldn't even notice.
