My hens of varying ages are all laying eggs with weak shells - they break really easily, (quite often in my pocket on the way to the kitchen  !).

They are fed The Organic Feed Company Layers Pellets, have grit mixed with shell in a separate pot - which they do eat, a bit of mixed corn in the evening and are free-ranging during the day.

Any suggestions? Should I try a different food?

Thanks!

Try adding some cod liver oil, I give my 6 girls a splodge (about a dessert spoonful at the most) once a week. I used to mix it in their pellets until Cluck my super lovely chicken just helped herself to it out of the lid one day. Now I normally give it to them a coating to their treat.
