ChickenChatterBox
So Guys, Might be getting some omlet chickens at either September or Christmas but if it is at christmas I can't get down to the omlet store!! So because I am in Scotland and really want OMLET chickens can I possibly reserve some in October or September at the store and then pay a Courrier to get my girls to me in Scotland??? dance in the dark
Is there any particular reason you want omlet chickens? It seems like a very expensive and time consuming way to go about it if you are right up in Scotland. Why not try getting some hybrids near you? Gingernut ranger is basically the same as Warren, ISA brown, goldline, lohman etc. Miss Pepperpot is like the black rock type hybrid. Both of these are readily available and so I wonder if it makes more sense for you to fetch them yourself from a more local stockist? jackian
I agree with Dance in the dark..I have some lovely omlet girls but I live in their area ,so delivery was easy ..but Scotland is a different story .If you put in a search engine for chickens in your area it will come up with chicken sellers with the type that Dance has suggested. If we know on here what area you live in I am sure their are people with more knowledge than me that can recommend a chicken seller. yankeecelt
Hey, what's wrong with our fine Scottish chooks? You could even get them a little kilt - think how cute their legs would be... Up here, if you go into any farm supply store, you'll usually see a little card with "POLs available... blah blah blah". If you life near Inverness, let me know and I'll give you my farmer's info. Several people I know have use him for their supply. Just your basic chooks though - if you want fancy, there is a great show once a year in Dingwall, apparently, where you can see all types and get information about suppliers.
