Luvachicken
I love my wyandottes but have sadly lost 2 in just over a month. Someone posted a lovely picture of their millefleur pekin and I was just wondering if that colouring comes on a wyandotte. Hubby says I can have some more and I would really like something like that if it exists If not what other colours do wyandottes come as ? And what should I pick..... and where from ? Redwing
Yes there are Millefleur Wyandottes but they arent too terribly common Some Wyandotte colours: Lavender Silver laced Gold laced Barred Buff laced Blue laced White Black Blue Chocolate Columbian Buff Columbian Mauve Violet Laced Millefleur Mottled Partridge Blue partridge Silver pencilled Silver blue pencilled Blue barred Chocolate barred Pewter Buff The Practical Poultry forum has a few dedicated Wyandotte breeders who are experimenting with different colours so thats a good place to post a wanted ad. Dottie Chick on there has a few different colours but is near Brighton I think Kerry Wilson breeds nice blue, buff and silver laced dottes as well as buff, lavender and columbian, her number can be found online I may also be worth considering Orpingons too. The Millefleur type colouring in Orpingtons is called 'Jubilee' Richard Stott has some very different colour Orpington bantams, his website is http://www.orpingtonbantams.co.uk/index.html
Luvachicken
Thank you Redwing for all the information. Maybe I should get them from the breeder I got them from before ? I don't really mind what colour they are really
