munkee1965
Just put the girls to bed and was getting their feed ready for morning. Started a new sack of what I thought was pellets. When I opened it it was mash. What do I have to do with it as I've never fed them this before? Or would I be better getting them a sack of pellets? cheekymonkey68
Evening! That happened to me too! you can feed it dry or like me add hot water and make it into a mash, I add mealworms and then serve, they eat every little bit of it..I give about 125g per hen. Hope it all goes well for you tomorrow. I found my girls prefer it to layers pellets..... M
Plum
Mine have got both. It keeps them quiet in the morning served dry. They take longer eating it and get it on floor but luckily I have scavengers who like eating it from the floor as well
redsunset
I gave my girls mash tonight for the 1st time and what excitement! It was like they had never eaten before and 6 heads were stuck in a big dog stainless steel dish bobbing up and down! Mixed it with some hot water so that'll be on the menu from now on I guess. Still all new to me as a chicken newbie. Guess the chooks will train me to suit no doubt!
