fantasticjudyann
Mabel is driving me up the wall. She keeps getting broody in spite of putting her in the broody cage 4 times. I have left her there for 3 days with food and water each time. She comes out and is OK and laying for a bit then she starts all over again. It seems to be sunshine that does it, not that we have had much recently. Any ideas anyone? Thanks
Mr Rhode Island Red
Try dipping her posterior (Only her posterior) into a bucket of cold water for no more than a few seconds. Worked for me. Don't to it often though or there are risks of the hen getting pneumonia. She won't like it, so keep a firm hold, and expect a bit of splashing Best of luck , Mr Rhode Island Red
