LolaCola
I had an awful batch of weeping eggs and all have now gone Am getting new eggs next week, so I need to disenfectant my incy. Do I have to buy the brinsea disenfectant? Or can I use something I already have in the cleaning cuboard? Dont just want to use soapy water as the other eggs weep quite badly and I'm sure there must be some bacteria hanging around.
LolaCola
I have some Barrier V1 Spray Disinfectant, would that be ok?
Redwing
I'd give it a clean with some soapy water, very hot water Then spray the inside and the lid (be careful of the fans) with the Barrier stuff then use some damp kitchen towel to wipe off any residue Then leave the whole thing to air Then use a tiny bit of Brinsea disinfectant on damp paper towel to wipe over the inside when you are ready to set the eggs, leave the eggs out and the machine on for an hour for the humidity to stabalise then put the eggs in I can bring you a drop of Brinsea incubator disinfectant when I see you

craftyhunnypie
I used to buy the Brinsea disinfectant. But I now use a cheap version of Milton bought from Savers. It has been fine for all the hatches I've done here. Emma.x
