Hi there, having a little check over the 'girls' and on closer inspection i think one is a male... he is alot bigger than the other apparently the same age..

 

My question is.. can i vent check a duck at 16weeks old?

Not sure about vent checking but my drake is only about 13 weeks old and is bigger than then female and tail feathers are slightly curly whilst the females are very straight. What sort of ducks are they?

Vent sexing is normally done as day olds and i wouldnt do it unless you know what your doing as it can cause damage you can tell by 16 weeks by the noise they make what sex they are i can tell by 8 weeks leanne

Hi there thanks for the great responses, There Indian runners, Both same age from the same clutch... but one is so much bigger but still has straight feathers i wasnt sure about vent check due to there age... is there any other ways blood test ect... also if one is male would the future eggs all be fertile?? ( im a newbie dont forget ).

Hi, it sounds like bigger one is a drake. You could probably work it out from his voice. The smaller ones may be quacking? The larger one may be whistling and much quieter than the ducks.
