My eco solution to rat problems

How do I stop my Miss Pepperpot perching on top of the glug and pooing in it?

 

Can somebody tell me where I should position it? Roy put it on and I have moved it up higher, as they seemed to be stooping quite a bit, but does that matter?

 

It is a nightmare to get off when it's got water in it - I nearly broke my fingers last night and the water went everywhere.

Can't suggest much but putting it higher and not filling it too full as it's heavy. I fill mine in situ now.

 

Perhaps offer her a log to perch on she may forget the glug then

They have got a log. Unlike the gingernuts, she seems to prefer to drink from the top of the glug, although I have seen her drink from underneath so she knows how to do it. I might have to cover it somehow.

 

I think she's going to be a troublesome chicken generally. The greedy little minx makes sure she gets all of the worms I throw at them and will chase the others and snatch grapes out of their mouths.

Sorry I should have said, I have a new style glug with "nipples". I am going to make a cover to stop her pooing in it, so hopefully I will never have to move it when it's full again.
