My kids still check the best box 20 times a day in the vain hope of finding an egg, and that's after we've already collected the days supply! Just been out to shut up the coop only to find that my three yet-to-lay girls on top of coop settling down for the night in the dark and only Doris inside! Got me thinking. How does laying affect the hen? Does their behaviour change? Do the others know? Will I notice changes amongst the group? Was the odd behaviour just a coincidence????
