MiniMinx
With my new cube due for delivery in a months time, we are now trying to decide on which breed to go for in additon to the (hopefully) two gingernuts and one pepperpt that we are getting from omlet. So far I like the look of the frizzles and the cochin - mainly as they look so cute and fluffy Has anyone got any recommendations?
Lovemychooks
I've got 3 Gingernut Rangers and they are lovely. I've also got Welsummers, Light Sussex & Marans and an Amber Star and I can safely say that I love them all and they are all very gentle It is a hard choice though....someone else might be along soon to advise you.... xChicken04x
i absolutly LOVE the frizzle, it looks like its been attacked with a pair of curling tongs!!!! hopfully we might be getting some from garden poultry in a few weeks. my mum and dad went to a farm a few weeks ago and they had loads of frizzles they said that were really friendly! kannie
Our silver nick is a lovely hen - very friendly - though she hasn't started laying yet. Our bluebell is lovely (and wonderfully soft) but extremely scatty and much harder to handle than the silver nick.
Snowy
I love my gold campine. She is very nosy and friendly, not at all shy, the boys pick her up for cuddles, she's pretty and she lays as many eggs as my hybrids - pure white, approx 44g, every day. Sarah 2
Shhhhhhhh my favourite is my Brown Nick. Don't tell the others. She's similar to a Gingernut Ranger. They're all lovely having said that. It's just Brown Nick likes cuddles and follows me round the garden.
