abwsco
Posted in here as thought even though it's for our golf gear dog owners could help me. Can anyone recommend a good quality waterproof boot liner that is reasonably cheap please. Seen one but it's £80+ for our Mazda hatchback. As car is an M reg I am not paying that for one. Have also seen some on ebay but not sure of the quality. I need one that will loop over the back headrests and cover all of the length of the boot when the seats are down. Thanks Edited as I can't spell tonight
The Dogmother
Not sure about a boot liner Anne but there are 'dog hammocks' which are designed to loop over the headrests and cover the back seat to put wet dogs on (which should be in the boot anyway but let's not start onthat one ) that would possibly work. freddie
We bought a boot liner, and a back seat cover. The back seat cover was a joke. and not cheap either:( The boot cover is relatively successful, we got it from a car parts place, not halfords, it fixes all around with velcro. About £50 I think that was 5 yrs ago. It gets a bit wrinkly, but does the job. Unfortunately, the dog guard doesnt work, so the whole car is full of mud and dog hair anyway. She just pushes up under the guard. Phil is an engineer, and has tried everything. We're all hairy now!! Never mind...
Lavenders_Blue
I looked round for a boot liner for some time when I got a new (to me) car earlier this year. Like you I couldn't find any at a price that I thought was reasonable, so I ended up shoving a load of towels in the boot to help dry out the dog. Sorry, I know that doesn't help you but just wanted to say I came up against the same problem (and would be happy if someone knows of anything at a decent price!). abwsco
Thanks everyone Ones I'd seen on ebay that looked ok and weren't too dear but they could be pants. Think I may just buy golf trolley bags then We've currently got a huge plastic dust sheet spread over the boot but half the time the grass and mud escape from that
The Dogmother
I have a sort of picnic rug in the boot; it is quilted with fleece on one side and a sort of water resistant nylon on t'other. Works well enough and is easily washed.
