Yeh I said you were a nightmare!

 

Many moons ago when I was a staff nurse on night duty we used to play no end of pranks.

 

An auxillary fell asleep one night in an armchair and woke up to find flowers on her chest. We used to make mounds in empty beds with pillows on the other ward and wait to see how long it was before their nurses noticed. We often had christmas trees travelling up and down in the lifts.

 

One night I was sent out to my car at 3am to get a map and found a very realistic phlebotomy arm sticking out from under my car! I don't know how I didn't wet myself.

 

There were always patients rung through to be admitted such as Emma Roid etc.,

 

They were long nights

We had a very small lift which our loaded trolleys only just used to fit in that went upstairs to the machine room or downstairs to the safe. One of the guys managed to squeeze himself in and we pulled the cage across him and sent him down to the poor suckers below. We heard the screams as the door opened down there! Oh that was so gooooood! That guy now is a pillar of society - MD for Global Radio (which covers our radio station among many), does lots of charity work and the success couldn't have gone to a better person. He was great fun and a good prankster too.
