Hi I am looking for advice on what to if anything about a kitten I have seen at my parents house. It keeps eating food my nana puts put for the birds, it's eating seeds, bread and rice that are for the birds. It is a kitten without a collar and has little stumpy legs but doesnt look starving. I think it must be hungry to eat seeds but I don't want to go around catching someone's pet.

My mum refuses to let it in as she doesn't like cats but I don't know whether to go and catch it or leave it alone? The neighbours said it isn't theirs and it has been visiting for almost a month.

Should I do something or just let it eat bird food?

Hi it might be worth them buying one of these if the kitten turns out to be owned by someone close. They also keep off squirrels and pigeons. It might be worth seeing if it is chipped.

As posted above, I'd use a feeder that's protected... one of my cats eats food off the neighbour's bird table, the cat is well fed but just likes snacks. The neighbour now has a protected feeder that I bought for them (it was the least I could do!) as the bird food and crusts aren't any good for the cat.
