abwsco
Can you please recommend a new set of bike lights for DH. Thanks
Geoid
It depends on how much you want to spend. A really good set (that I use) are Exposure flash and flare (on wiggle.com) but they cost about £70. If you want to spend less, another good brand is Smart. abwsco
Fred, DH doens't want to spend £70 at the moment. He asks what you think of the Smart Lunar 35 Lux Front and 1/2 Watt Rear Light Set. It's half price at the mo on wiggle here Also, me me asking but do you think he should have extra lights as well. He wears a full flourescant jacket but I am fed up of the near misses that he has had when cycling home from work. Should say he now doesn't tell me about them. Also I think he could do with a light on his backpack so again any recommendations would be brilliant.
Space Chick
Smart are a reputable make but are overpriced for what they are in my mind. A few very experienced cycling friends, recommended these to me. They are amazingly bright I have reflective tape on my backpack.

Ideally, you should have at least 4 lights, one flashing one steady on the front and rear.
abwsco
Thanks Fred and SC DH has ordered the smart set plus a waterproof hi vis back pack cover. He's going to look at the Cree lights as extra ones.
abwsco
Lights and rucksack cover are here and DH is really pleased with them. Also, didn't know but he's already got flashing lights and they are Smart as well. Only thing is that his reflector now won't fit on the back of his bike so he's going to have to sort that out between now and going back to work in the New Year. Geoid
Try putting the rear lights on the seat stays (the bits of metal next to the wheel). The law states you must have a rear reflector.

Will give him something to do whilst he's off work
SarahJo
Got the boys Spoke-lit - leds that go on the spokes of the wheels from iwantoneofthose.co.uk They can be either set as steady on or flashing, quite good for being seen at junctions
