New hens not going into Eglu Go Up

I think this egg belongs to one of my new girls i was wondering if anyone can help me with the deposits on the outside of the shell ? I did see something online ages ago and typically I cant find it now ??

 

Are my girls lacking anything in their diet ?? They are having a mix of layers and corn at the moment with the odd veggie as an additional treat

I don't know exactly what it is, but it's quite normal and is probably because they are new to laying and still haven't quite settled down - not very technical, sorry! I think it's some sort of calcium deposit.

Fab thanks that's put my mind at rest I was worried they may have been missing out on something. I'm pretty sure it's come from Isla my bluebell or possibly it's a Prilly special as she lays small egglings

I quite often get that all over my eggs. I was told it was excess calcium and is nothing to worry about. I too have a bluebelle, I wonder if it's from her?

yes it extra calcium I find young layers and older layers tend to be the ones that lay them it nothing to worry about

I like to include one or two like that in my displays as they show none chicken keepers the eggs that get rejected by the commerical boys for no other reason than they don't look 'nice'
