Its two years ago today that I collected 3 scared, smelly & scraggy hens from the BHWT.

 

Matilda died a few months later but Brunhilda & Griselda blossomed into cheeky, confidant characters. Brunhilda firmly establishing herself as top chook.

 

I'd managed to get some maggots from the local angling shop as a special day treat Which were consumed with great gusto and scratching up of the lawn to ensure they hadn't missed any.

 

When I last checked on them they were all sprawled about sunbathing.

 

What a difference their lives were just over two years ago.

Oh that's good to hear Miss Millie.I just lost my 1st hen today from 10 ex batts rescued in Sept and I was worried that this would be the start of their passing on.So glad to hear of your hens celebrating 2 years of freedom.
